I have a cousin named Kelly. She’s 9 and as fat as a baby hippo. She probably weigh more than me, but that’s alright because I love her lots.
She wasn’t fat when she was a toddler. But as soon she went to school, her weight shot to the stars. I guess she had been eating all the junk food served in school these days.
Recently Kelly spent a few days in the hospital. No, she wasn’t there for a liposuction. She’s there for asthma. She’s fine now, but the doctor put her on the inhaler permanently.
It’s no surprise she has asthma. It seems to run in the family. I used to suffer from asthma when I was a kid but I shook it off as soon as I lost my virginity.
Whether asthma is hereditary or virgin-related is debatable. One thing for sure, being fat puts you at risk of asthma. Especially when you’re young like Kelly.
A recent study finds that a fat child has an increased risk of asthma. The study discovers that an increase in body mass index between age 5 and 14 years old increases the risk of asthma symptoms in adolescence.
In other words, a child who gets fat between the age of 5 and 14 is at risk of having asthma.
I’m Kelly’s mentor now. I’m teaching her how to lose weight. She probably hate me now for putting her on a strict diet and exercise, but she’ll certainly love me when she’s eighteen.
It’s hard to get laid when you’re fat.
